Featured Grant: The Kelly Brush Foundation


The Kelly Bush Foundation "Active Fund" provides "grants for individuals with paralysis caused by spinal cord injury to purchase adaptive sports equipment."

They believe in the power of sport and recreation to foster inclusion and overcome the barriers of paralysis. We have helped over 900 people from 48 states purchase handcycles, mono-skis, sport chairs, racing chairs, hockey sleds, and much more.

Their Grant Cycle is NOW OPEN, and applications are due by March 23rd. Learn more here!

 

Welcome, Andrea!


Pushing Boundaries is excited to welcome our newest Board Member, Andrea Tobon!

Andrea is a passionate community advocate with a particular interest in strategic and fiscal planning. In addition to her current role as a Senior Financial Analyst with Amazon, Andrea has consistently volunteered within the local community for over 12 years- splitting her time between disability services, youth advocacy, and mentorship. We are excited to have Andrea join our Board in the role of Treasurer.

This groundbreaking guidebook includes 60 outdoor adventures, including drive-up experiences, verified wheelchair-accessible trails, and foot trails suitable for disabled hikers.

TWO New Members of the Exercise Therapy Team



Welcome, Jonathan!

6 weeks in and Jonathan is already earning a reputation for his ability to be both laid-back and laser-focused at the same time!

With nearly a decade of experience leading yoga classes, and four years of exercise training Jonathan has developed care and solicitude for his clients to succeed and live healthy, well-meaning lives.


Welcome, Sage!

Though Sage is just finishing out his first month here at PB, some of you may recognize him from the past; he interned here at PB in the spring of 2019!

HIs passion for research is already evident in his infectious curiosity- about people, experiences, exercise, and wellness. Sage received his Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Bastyr University.
