Dear PB Family,
2022! Wow. What a year.
Wrapping up 2021 with a generous legacy gift from The Idamae Schack Foundation was the best way to start the new year. The timing was profound, as Covid safety nets came to an end. We continue to be so grateful to Idamae and her granddaughter, (former PB client) Lisa Kittilsby.
As I said last year- despite the challenges, I continue to be humbled and surprised by the things we’ve done, the accomplishments we’ve made, and the ground we’ve covered. In 2022 we added new board members (Wilfred, Nancy, and Sarah) and onboarded a new Treasurer (Andrea). Two new and wonderful exercise therapists joined us- Sage and Jonathan! Kristen also moved from the exercise floor to the administrative office and is now our Programs Manager.
Thanks to the support of Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell’s offices, we secured a federal grant to use exclusively for new high-tech equipment. So far, we’ve added two Indego Exoskeletons and a Galileo Tilt Table- with more to come in the first half of 2023! We’d love to show off these new toys- please reach out and schedule a tour to see them!
The most exciting thing of all? We connected in person. In October, for the first time in three years, we gathered together for Pushing Forward, a celebration and fundraiser. I met and spoke with some of you for the first time- live and in person. I’m so grateful to the attendees and sponsors who helped us raise critical funds to continue serving our clients.
While I may not know what 2023 will bring, with your continued support, kindness, and willingness to persist, we have a promising year ahead. We look forward to new clients, new equipment, and new client achievements. We look forward to expanding how we support our community, and how the community can support us while we help our clients continue to Push Boundaries. The more we grow, the more impact we can have, and the more clients we can serve! So, again… wow! Thank you.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Teri
