Meet a Monthly Donor - Mia Wyatt!

Updated: Jun 21, 2023

Welcome to our new “Meet a Monthly Donor” series! This group of Pushing Boundaries “Weight Lifters” have pledged to support PB through a monthly gift that best suits their financial situation. These ongoing gifts allow PB the reassurance that support will arrive consistently throughout the year and help us provide therapy services to the paralysis community through this reliable financial foundation. Learn why Mia gives and please consider joining our “Weight Lifters” crew today.

When and how did you first learn about Pushing Boundaries?

I first learned of Pushing Boundaries in December of 2013. We were both members of the former Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce and were introduced through that connection. Since then, I and the team at HRK Advisors, have partnered with Pushing Boundaries, providing Human Resource consulting & management, recruiting, payroll, and bookkeeping services.

What motivated you to begin donating?

Walking through the doors of Pushing Boundaries and seeing the amazing work being done was my motivation to begin donating. I was even more motivated when a person that I know, needed to receive therapy at Pushing Boundaries. Knowing that my financial support can help those in need maximize mobility and independence is a wonderful feeling.

What do you feel are the benefits of being a monthly donor?

The benefits of a monthly donation, from my point of view, is that there is a steady stream of known funds coming in that support the therapy needs of the clients of Pushing Boundaries. Funds raised go towards things like purchasing new equipment, maintaining a proper level of supplies and inventory, ensuring equipment is maintained and safe, and helping to keep the cost of an hour of therapy as low as possible so that clients can afford the treatment that they need.

The exercise floor at PB always has good music playing…what would be one song on your playlist?
