Not quite a grant- but a very useful tool nonetheless! Help Hope Live is a non-profit that supports community-based Fundraising for people with unmet medical expenses and related costs due to catastrophic injuries and illnesses. To find out more, check them out HERE!


Check Out Aquatic Therapy in Snohomish!


First Step Pediatric Therapy is now offering Aquatic Therapy for ALL ages in Snohomish!

 

On top of their usual pediatric therapy, First Step is now offering Adult Aquatic Therapy for adults with: 

- Post Operative Therapy

- Wheelchair Needs

- Balance/Gait/Strengthening Needs

- Genetic Disorders and Disabilities

 


Sound Transit Photo Op!



The Eastlink 2 line between South Bellevue and Redmond Technology is scheduled to open in late Q1/early Q2 of next year!

 

As part of the opening, Sound Transit seeking to photograph people who work, live, study or play in the neighborhoods surrounding the new stations. They are specifically looking to add ability diversity to their photos.

 

These fun and joyful photos will be included in the opening materials expected to be displayed at the stations for 6-8 weeks after opening and in the marketing campaign.

Welcome New Board Member Joanne!


 Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest Board Member, Joanne Fenn!

Joanne earned her Master's of Science in Speech Pathology in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Washington.  She has over 30 years of clinical experience in medical and rehabilitative settings working with a variety of neurological disorders.  Additionally, Joanne has specialized expertise in voice and swallowing rehabilitation in the head and neck cancer population.

She has held prior board positions for the American Cancer Society and the International Association of Laryngectomees (I.A.L.), has served as an instructor for the annual IAL Voice Institute, and has chaired the Seattle Chapter of SPOHNC (Support for People with Head and Neck Cancer).  

As a survivor of multiple cancers, coupled with her love of activity, Joanne is passionate about the mission of Pushing Boundaries and the incredible power of movement in the rehabilitative journey.
