Getting Back Up exists to help improve the quality of life for individuals living with a spinal cord injury. They provide qualified and selected individuals with funding for participation in exercise- based recovery programs and the purchase of adaptable products. Here and Now Project's 10th Annual Paralysis Meet Up is This Weekend!

The Here an Now Project is holding their 10th Annual Paralysis Meetup! Held at the Tukwila Community Center, day one (Saturday 9/23 at 12:30 pm) will be for survivors and supporters only, featuring multiple breakout meetings touching on various topics and a keynote from multisport athlete and 2016 Summer Paralympic Gold Medalist basketball player, Megan Blunk!

Day two (Sunday 9/24 1-5 pm) is a public Resource Expo that is open to all and will feature a wide array of local organizations (including Pushing Boundaries!) for members to gain valuable resources. There will also be plenty of adaptive sports demos like adaptive cycling, quad rugby, wheelchair basketball, and more

The Suntop Lookout at Chinook Pass in the Mount Rainier Area is now ADA Accessible!


A 15-year-old on a quest to become an Eagle Scout has helped a team complete an ADA accessible trail to the Suntop Lookout on Chinook Pass. The final touches were completed on August 26th, 2023, to make this Lookout the first full accessible operational fire lookout in Washington state. Mystery Force Book Launch at Secret Garden Books!


Secret Garden Books on Northwest Market Street in Ballard is holding a book launch for the latest Mystery Force installment by Ted Neill and Suzi Spooner! Happening Saturday, September 23rd form 5-6pm, this in-person gathering promises an unforgettable experience for mystery enthusiasts.
